Jean Agelou and his brother Georges Agelou produced a small number of intimate portraits
when compared to many of their other images. These images are their best series of women
caught in private portrait moments. The images date approximately 1901-1916.
They were produced as risque images marketed to the upper crust of French society and remain as popular today as they were in their own day.
