Among the most popular marketing techniques, was advertising to artists through magazines. The ad above appeared in a 1923 issue of "La Beaute". It touts the ease and convenience of using a camera image, offering 75 nude poses, sepia or hand-colored, in the format of postcards, which could be ordered through the mail. The images used in these ad campaigns were retouched but the ad assures buyers the images sent to the home were "complete".

The second most popular theme, after the seated pose, was the classically standing nude. The images they produced not only flattered the models, but also reflected a new talent for the camera. While most of these photographers will always remain anonymous, the works they created will be admired for years to come.
