![]() Ornate Adornment ![]() Outrageous Headbands In the 1880's, the influence of the discoveries being made in Egypt, coupled with camera toting travelers who crossed into exotic lands, bringing back photographs of people and things never before seen, led to the "Exotic Egyptian Craze".
This craze affected all types of creative people from artists, writers, theatre playwrights, and fashion designers of the day. This also included a number of photographic producers who saw this as a limited theme for their pose images. In the early part of the century, photographers used elaborate studio settings resembling opium dens, placing the nude model in the scene with little more than an arm or anklet band and possibly a tasseled headband. By the 1920's, the elaborate studio settings were gone and the focus changed towards the model's attire. Large hunks of jewelry adorned her neck and in many cases, her waist. She wore ornate headbands and more often than not, a sheer wrap from her waist. Although only limited numbers of these images were produced, the exotic style remained popular throughout the end of the postcard era, proving once again, that when the theme is good, there will always be an editor ready to cash in! These images and more are available in full-size as a download or on CD. Please see ----Exotic Nude Poses Download---- or ---- Tallulah's Vintage Pose Images on CD----
